Overview
Apraava Energy is a diversified power company in India, jointly owned by the CLP Group – one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia – and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) – a global investment group.
Founded in 2002, the company’s portfolio comprises 3,150 MW of installed capacity which includes 924 MW of wind, 250 MW of solar energy projects across seven states, a 1320 MW coal-fired super critical power plant, and two power transmission assets. A 250 MW wind power project at Sidhpur, Gujarat is under construction and is expected to be commissioned in FY 2022-23. In 2023, Apraava Energy ventured into the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) business.
Apraava Energy is a climate-conscious organisation and has committed itself to low-carbon businesses to address the rising climate change issues. The company plans to explore investment opportunities in and other non-generation, customer-focused energy businesses.
