Apraava Energy is India’s leading integrated energy solutions provider, jointly owned by the CLP Group — one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia and La Caisse (formerly CDPQ), a global investment group.
Founded in 2002, Apraava has evolved from being a single-asset business to a forward-looking, climate-conscious organisation spread across 13 states in India. Its portfolio comprises ~3.4 GW of installed capacity which includes wind and solar energy projects, a coal-fired supercritical power plant and power transmission assets. In addition, 850 MW of Renewable Projects (Solar and Wind), four greenfield transmission projects, are under construction. The company is also a leading player in the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) business and is currently executing orders for ~7.8 million smart meters across the country.
Apraava Energy is a climate-conscious organisation and has committed itself to low-carbon businesses to address the rising climate change issues. In line with its business strategy, Apraava is committed to investing in low -carbon growth areas, including renewable energy, power transmission and distribution, as well as other non -generation, customer -focused energy businesses.
Apraava Energy is among the handful Indian power sector companies to commit to the SBTi and only the second in the sector to have them validated.
