Apraava Energy has initiated several programmes that seek to empower women with the tools to achieve economic independence. Project Uday is one such initiative that aims to empower women with the opportunity of an alternative livelihood. This was implemented in 18 villages around the Chandgarh windfarm project and empowered over 2000 women. The women were encouraged to take up dairy farming as an alternative livelihood opportunity.
